Income ETFs

Every distribution,and what’s inside it.

A distribution rate on its own tells you what was paid, not what it was made of. Every REX income fund is listed below with its 30-Day SEC Yield, estimated return of capital, payment schedule and standardized performance alongside it.

How to read this page

Three numbers, three different questions.

Distribution rate
What the most recent payment would total over a year if it never changed. A snapshot, not a forecast, and not a total return. Standardized performance is linked beside every rate.
30-Day SEC Yield
Net investment income only. It excludes option premium, so an options-income fund can show a high distribution rate and a low or negative SEC yield at the same time. Both are correct.
Return of capital
The portion of a payment that is your own capital coming back. Not income, it lowers your cost basis, and it can reduce NAV over time. The bar in each row shows the split.

Performance data quoted represents past performance. Past performance does not guarantee future results. The investment return and principal value of an investment will fluctuate so that an investor’s shares, when sold or redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost. Standardized performance for each fund is available above and on each fund page.

* Distribution Rate. The annual yield an investor would receive if the most recently declared distribution, which includes option income, remained the same going forward. For the weekly-paying funds it is calculated by multiplying the fund’s Distribution per Share by fifty-two (52) and dividing the resulting amount by the fund’s most recent NAV. For the monthly-paying funds, ATCL and DACL, it is multiplied by twelve (12) instead. It represents a single distribution and is not a total return. There is no assurance a fund will make a distribution in any given period, and distributions may be zero.

** 30-Day SEC Yield. Net investment income, which excludes option income, earned by the fund over the 30-Day period, expressed as an annual percentage rate based on the fund’s share price at the end of that period. Because option premium is excluded, an options-income fund can show a high Distribution Rate and a low or negative 30-Day SEC Yield at the same time. Both figures are correct; they measure different things.

Expense ratio. The figure shown is the net expense ratio, with the gross ratio and any contractual fee waiver noted beneath it. Gross is total annual fund operating expenses before any waiver; for funds using leverage it includes interest and borrowing costs, so it exceeds the management fee alone. REX Advisers, LLC has contractually agreed to waive 0.09% of average daily net assets for ATCL through February 12, 2027 and for DACL through July 31, 2027. Without these waivers, returns would be lower.

What’s inside. The estimated portion of distributions paid year to date that is return of capital rather than income or gains. Return of capital is a return of part of your own investment: it is not income, it lowers your cost basis, and it can reduce a fund’s NAV over time. Figures are estimates and are superseded by each fund’s latest 19a-1 notice.

Important Information

Weekly-paying funds. The Distribution Rate is the annual yield an investor would receive if the most recently declared distribution, which includes option income, remained the same going forward. It is calculated by multiplying an ETF’s Distribution per Share by fifty-two (52), and dividing the resulting amount by the ETF’s most recent NAV.

Monthly-paying funds. The Distribution Rate is calculated by multiplying an ETF’s Distribution per Share by twelve (12), and dividing the resulting amount by the ETF’s most recent NAV.

Distribution Rate. The Distribution Rate represents a single distribution from the ETF and does not represent its total return. There is no assurance that a fund will make a distribution in any given period. Distributions may include income, capital gains, or return of capital and may change during the year. Return of capital is not income or gain generated by a fund’s investment activities and should not be interpreted as such; it reduces a shareholder’s cost basis and may decrease a fund’s NAV and trading price over time. Return of capital figures shown are estimates and are superseded by each fund’s latest 19a-1 notice.

30-Day SEC Yield. Represents net investment income, which excludes option income, earned by such ETF over the 30-Day period, expressed as an annual percentage rate based on such ETF’s share price at the end of the 30-Day period.

Scheduled dates are subject to change. Declaration, ex, record and payable dates shown for future periods are scheduled and may shift, including for exchange holidays.

Call Writing Strategy Risk. The path dependency (i.e., the continued use) of the Fund’s call writing strategy will impact the extent that the Fund participates in the positive price returns of the underlying reference securities and, in turn, the Fund’s returns, both during the term of the sold call options and over longer time period.

Distribution Risk. As part of the Fund’s investment objective, the Fund seeks to provide current weekly income. There is no assurance that the Fund will make a distribution in any given week. If the Fund does make distributions, the amounts of such distributions will likely vary greatly from one distribution to the next. Additionally, the monthly distributions, if any, may consist of returns of capital, which would decrease the Fund’s NAV and trading price over time. As a result, an investor may suffer significant losses to their investment.

NAV Erosion Risk Due to Distributions. When the Fund makes a distribution, the Fund’s NAV will typically drop by the amount of the distribution on the related ex-dividend date. The repeated payment of distributions by the Fund, if any, may significantly erode the Fund’s NAV and trading price over time. As a result, an investor may suffer significant losses to their investment.

The Distribution Rate and 30-Day SEC Yield is not indicative of future distributions, if any, on the ETFs. In particular, future distributions on any ETF may differ significantly from its Distribution Rate or 30-Day SEC Yield. You are not guaranteed a distribution under the ETFs. Distributions for the ETFs (if any) are variable and may vary significantly from period to period and may be zero. Accordingly, the Distribution Rate and 30-Day SEC Yield will change over time, and such change may be significant. The distribution may include a combination of ordinary dividends, capital gain, and return of investor capital, which may decrease a fund’s NAV and trading price over time. As a result, an investor may suffer significant losses to their investment. These distribution rates caused by unusually favorable market conditions may not be sustainable. Such conditions may not continue to exist and there should be no expectation that this performance may be repeated in the future.
