The Thesis

Three reasons the theme is wider than one drug

01

A large market at an early stage.

Obesity and diabetes account for most peptide sales today, yet treatment has barely started: roughly 2% of the world’s obese adults and 7% of diagnosed diabetes patients take a GLP-1.

2% Of the world’s obese adults take a GLP-1 today2
02

Demand beyond obesity.

A third of peptide medicine sales already come from other diseases. In 2026 the FDA approved peptide drugs for plaque psoriasis and for a rare blood cancer.

36% Of 2025 peptide medicine sales, about $51B, came from other diseases3
03

Capacity is the bottleneck.

New peptide plants take years to build, so manufacturing capacity is scarce and buyers are paying up to secure it. The index includes the contract manufacturers.

4 to 5 Years to build a new peptide plant, from construction to first output4

The performance data quoted represents past performance. Past performance does not guarantee future results. The investment return and principal value of an investment will fluctuate so that an investor’s shares, when sold or redeemed, may be worth more or less than their original cost and current performance may be lower or higher than the performance quoted. Performance current to the most recent month-end can be obtained by calling 1-844-802-4004. Short term performance, in particular, is not a good indication of the fund’s future performance, and an investment should not be made based solely on returns.

Market Price: The current price at which shares are bought and sold. Market returns are based upon the last trade price.

NAV: The dollar value of a single share, based on the value of the underlying assets of the fund minus its liabilities, divided by the number of shares outstanding. Calculated at the end of each business day.

Under normal market conditions, the Fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in the securities that comprise the Index. The Index is designed to track the performance of equity securities of companies that are strategically positioned to advance the development, manufacturing, and commercial adoption of peptide-based products, including therapeutics, supplements, cosmetics, and medical devices, along with the enabling technologies essential for peptides.

The Index utilizes a modified free float market capitalization weighted methodology for both Pureplay and Diversified companies. The Pureplay companies are weighted with a maximum weight of 15% per constituent. In the event Pureplay constituents are weighted greater than 5%, the constituents are reduced proportionately until the sum of the weights greater than 5% are less than approximately 45% of the Index. Then, the excess weights are redistributed to the remaining constituents. If there are 10 or more Pureplay companies, then the top three constituents will be capped at 15% and the remaining Pureplay companies will be equally weighted. If there are nine Pureplay companies, then the top two constituents will be capped at 22.5% and the remaining Pureplay companies will be equally weighted. If there are eight Pureplay companies, then the top two constituents will be capped at 25% and the remaining Pureplay companies will be equally weighted. If there are less than eight Pureplay companies, then all of the Pureplay companies will be free float market capitalization weighted with a constituent cap of 15% with no additional caps. The Diversified companies are weighted with a maximum weight of 5% per constituent.

FAQ

What companies are included in the ETF?

The ETF tracks the VettaFi Peptide Index: companies on major developed-market exchanges and in South Korea involved in at least one of four segments, namely therapeutics and medicine, manufacturing and medical devices, nutraceuticals and supplements, and cosmeceuticals and skincare. Each must have at least $100 million in market capitalization and $1 million in average daily traded value.

How is this ETF different from a broad healthcare or biotech fund?

Broad healthcare funds hold peptide companies incidentally, alongside everything else. PEPT is built around the theme: peptide drug developers together with the contract manufacturers, delivery-device makers and consumer-health businesses a drug-by-drug approach can miss. That focus means it is concentrated in healthcare and biopharma, and it is non-diversified.

Why peptides now?

Peptides are the technology behind today’s GLP-1 treatments for obesity and diabetes, and a pipeline of peptide therapies is in development for other conditions. Wider adoption is not guaranteed: pricing, insurance coverage, manufacturing capacity and clinical results can all slow it.

How often is the index updated?

The VettaFi Peptide Index is rebalanced and reconstituted quarterly. At each rebalance the Core tranche is set to 80% and the Diversified tranche to 20%, single holdings are capped at 12% (5% in the Diversified tranche), and the combined weight of holdings above 5% is capped at 45%.
